Investment Process

The following infographic is a high level overview of the Fund’s operations.

Returns on Investment

According to an Angel Resource Institute study and an article written by serial entrepreneur and venture capitalist David Rose, internal rates of return range from 20% to 30%.

The Fund has identified a number of critical factors for successful returns. Investing in 20 companies establishes the law of large numbers to our advantage which reduces the risk associated with individual companies which fail to exit. In addition, developing strong deal flow, valuations, due diligence and providing an added value through industry connections improves the odds of reaching the best returns.

The Network Effect

A network effect occurs when a product or service becomes more valuable to its users as more people use it. In this case, the network effect in the Fund is the powerful opportunities that arise when an increased number of members network together. It is rewarding to share ideas, experiences and contact networks with like-minded individuals. Beyond the investments within the Fund, members will become more informed and have increased access to opportunities by meeting together regularly.
